This year’s IIFA was supposed to be better than last year but none of the big Khans made an appearance. Though I will say Ranbir Kapoor is no less than any Khan so though this years IIFA may not have been better it was no less than last year.

Now this is perfection! Ash’s kaftan dress is stunning and her hair looks much better! I LOVE the colours! Plus she looks beautiful!
She seems so much more mellow and calm now. In the past she always seemed so stiff and rehearsed in her interviews. I guess motherhood does change a person!
On the red carpet:
The dress is by Ellie Saab whose creations I love! I love this dress too but not on Ash. I wish she had chosen a brighter colour. Ellie Saab’s collection this year has beautiful colours like sky blue and pink so I think Ash should have chosen one of those colours. This one washes her out. Also those curled side bangs are not okay! Her hairstylist needs to do better!
Still I admire Ash for saying showing all the haters that she doesn’t care about what they say!

The saree/jacket which Ash wore to the amfAR Cinema Against AIDS Gala is designed by Abu Jani-Sandeep Khosla. These two designers are the Bachchan family’s old friends.
The black maxi-gown Ash is seen in above is by Australian designer, Angelo Katsapis.
Personally I have no problem with Ash’s weight. She just had a baby and she deserves a break to enjoy little baby Aaradhya. Still I do not approve of her choice of clothing. The maxi is cute but the sweater on top just ruins the look. Plus what is with her hair! She needs a haircut or a better hair stylist pronto! The Indian look is better but I don’t like the neckline. She is at Cannes but she looks like she walked off the set of Jodha Akhbar! Ash is a beautiful woman with or without her pregnancy weight but she fails to impress me with these two looks.
Do you think Ash has started off her eleventh year at Cannes stylishly or not? Is the media right to criticize her failure to lose that pregnancy weight?

I have to say usually I don’t like Mallika’s revealing outfits but this one is stunning on her. It shows a lot of skin but it doesn’t look vulgar and gold always suits the bold actress. I approve!
